We hope all the children enjoyed the ice lollies provided by the PTA. We weren’t able to be in school to celebrate all the children, but we wanted to celebrate the end of sports/activities week and the beginning of a wonderfully sunny, hot weekend! Cheers!
The Phil and Jim’s PTA is an integral part of school life – supporting the school through fundraising and social events to foster community. Every parent and carer in our school community is part of the PTA. Over the last 5 years the PTA raised money to fund the Astroturf, to build the library and stock it, and to support lots of “extras” for the school like the Collins Big Cat 0nline books, year 6 leavers gifts, math and reading subscription programs, classroom supplies, guest speakers, school club support, school calendars and many others. In addition, we run a regular program of social activities for the school and community such as the Christmas fair, quiz night, the summer fete, the nearly new sale, bake sales, mother’s/father’s day events, etc. We will not be able to continue to run events for the school without volunteers….we NEED YOU! You can get involved by volunteering at events throughout the year (in a non-Covid year!), by supporting the school financially (see below), by attending school events, or by taking a more active leadership role on the PTA committee.
