PTA NEWS
Greetings from your PTA! We are working hard to plan some fun activities over the next few months. In the meantime, school calendars are being printed and we hope to have a plan for payment and collection in place very soon. This year we are raising funds for an online book program that can be accessed by all the children – both in school and at home. We will also continue to support our physical library in hopes that the children can use it again soon.
Classlist:
All regular PTA news and announcements can be found on our website and on Classlist.
Some of the fantastic features of Classlist:
-you can direct message other parents in your children’s year group or in any other year group
-you have a chat function with your children’s year group
-you have access to the marketplace where you can sell items or advertise
-you can also post messages to the entire school – there is a drop down menu available when composing a message. You can choose for your message to be sent to the entire school.
Easy Fundraising:In this very festive (and very commercial) time of year, don’t forget that doing your online shopping, on everything from gifts to groceries to travel, could generate donations for the PTA. You can do that at no additional cost to you by:
– accessing Amazon.co.uk via smile.amazon.co.uk and selecting Ss Philip And James School Parent Teachers Association as your chosen charity
– by visiting your usual shopping websites via easyfundraising.org.uk. The retailers list include John Lewis, booking.com, Not on the High Street, M&S, Argos and many many more. The retailers will donate a percentage of your shop to our charity. This doesn’t change the cost of your shop at all, and generates much-needed funds for our school!
Christmas and Greetings cards
Thank you to everyone who ordered Christmas cards, greetings cards, wrapping paper and more! You have raised more than £500 for the school.
If you did not receive your order on Thursday, your child should bring it home today. If you have not received your order or if there is a problem with your order, please get in touch with Sara Tindall at saratindalltck@gmail.com
Some of you would like to make a late order. We are waiting to hear from the printers as to how to do this and we will let you know what they advise.
Thank you!
