As you might know, one of the most anticipated events that we run at school for Christmas is the ‘Christmas Bazaar’. The children are able to shop for presents for their family and themselves and hopefully keep it a secret until Christmas Day! The Bazaar takes place during the usual school day and this year it will be on Wednesday 17th December.
On the day of the Bazaar, please send each of your children to school with a maximum of £2.00 to spend and a carrier bag to collect their purchases. Each class will be brought to the Bazaar to shop by their class teacher. Items will be priced 20p, 30p, 50p and £1.
What else do we need?
Class reps will provide a Christmas collecting box in each classroom for donations.
We need donations of at least 10 items from each child, which we then use as the stock for the children to buy their ‘secret family purchases’ on the day. Examples, include small items, from toiletries to Christmas candles, sweets, pens, pencils, toys, socks, books, bags, jewellery etc. are all acceptable. We need good quality, new or nearly new items as remember, whatever you donate may come back as a family present! Please bring the items to school latest Monday 15th.
In order to make this event a success we need helpers on:
Tuesday 16th, sorting sessions, this is when we organise all the donations so that each class has a similar range to choose from at the sale.
Wednesday 17th (8.45-15.00), selling items to the children.
Please do your best to help. It is a lot of fun, especially watching the faces of the kids as they buy you a ‘special present’!
