Sunday 18th May 2025 – 10am – 5pm

We are pleased to announce that the one-day football tournament Aristotle Cup is happening again Sunday 18th May at Phil & Jim’s. Children from Phil and Jim’s, St Aloysius and St Barnabas will play in six-a-side matches (EYFS and Y1 boys & girls together), five-a side matches (Y2-Y5, boys and girls separately) and seven-a-side (Y6, boys and girls separately) . There is a £2 subscription fee per child to play the tournament and there is a £1 entrance fee (only for adults that are not volunteers) for attending the tournament.

For organising each year’s teams and other event activities, we will need parents/carers’ help:

o   Each team needs to have a coach (read coach role description in the LINK TO https://philandjimspta.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/aristotle-cup-rules24.pdf). They will assemble the team. All children who want to play need to follow coach instructions or contact him/her directly. The coach name will be indicated on this website. All the teams need to be confirmed by April 2nd.

o   Each team needs to have a secretary to take the player fees and sending them to the organisers. If there is not a secretary, the coach will need to perform this task.

o   Each match will also need a volunteer referee.

o   Other volunteers such as entrance and First Aid helpers

This is an event completely run by volunteers. Therefore, if a team does not have a coach, this team will not play and if there are not enough volunteers for the other roles, the event can be cancelled or reduced.
