For those new to the school, this is a PTA event solely for the children. Each class will come to classroom during the school day for a Christmas shopping experience like no other.

This event is not really a fundraiser, rather it aims to provide a fun, inexpensive, and safe environment for the children to go shopping for Christmas presents. The teaching staff and volunteers will all be there to help your children on the day.

How does it work?

From Monday 20th November there will be a large IKEA bag in your child’s cloakroom, ready to accept donations for the Bazaar. We ask that each child bring in TEN items to donate. We arenot asking you to go out and buy ten items, rather that you find ten new/nearly new items at home that we can put out for sale. They can fall into the categories of treats and sweets; toiletries and candles; jewellery; craft supplies and stationery; toys; books for all ages; household. Things for dads and male relatives are particularly in demand! All food and toiletries must be unopened, all food must be nut-free and we cannot accept any alcohol.

Everything in the shop will be priced between 10p and £1, and we ask the children to bring in £2 in small change for their shopping on the day.

Volunteers

We need lots of helpers to make this event a success. Please could you help on either:

•Wednesday 6th December (9am-12pm) – The Sorting Session, where the donations are sorted and categorised;

and/or

•Thursday 7th December (8.45am to 10.45am; and/or 10.45am to 12.15pm; and/or 12.45pm to 3.15pm) – The Bazaar Day, selling items and helping the children shop.
